If I don’t write it down it’ll never happen. So many things make a regular appearance on my to do lists but when they keep showing up and remain untouched sometimes it’s best to tell the world at large that they’re going to happen just to make sure they do…
Before Christmas Justine Cook of Harp Studio gave me the opportunity to put my print creations out into the world in her pop up exhibition and shop. It’s a nerve wracking move, braving the exposure, but with her encouragement I went ahead and it went remarkably well; now it has given me the impetus to finally plan to make myself a shop on the website. I’m not technically minded but i’m assured it’s straight forward, so with images in hand i’m making plans. I’ll begin with a few of my lime and ink layered prints but there may be more diversity to come as M and I are always making and collecting, though we’ll see how it naturally unfolds.
Another plan in the pipeline, that has been hanging back since we moved to the new house, is to launch workshop days at the house. My design work tends to usually only be accessible to a select few and this seems like a way I can offer advise on design and style to a wider audience. It’s a hazy idea still formulating though I imagine it will be a day of exploring the house and it’s ongoing projects while discussing design, processes, materials, sources etc. The excitement and inspiration of likeminded folk along with practical approaches. Drop me a DM (here, via Instagram, or email me through the website) to let me know if that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of.
There’s bound to be more but for a start these two things need to get done. Now that i’ve written it down I can’t let them fall off the end of the list any more. Feel free to nag me to get them done if you think they need doing x elle
Signing up to my Substack mailing list will ensure you’ll be amongst the first to hear when these things actually happen in case you’re interested.
Plans Unfold.
The workshop days sound inspiring and wonderful. Wish I could attend!
